Full House Move with 5th Floor Stair Carry - Portishead

The Challenge

Arriving at the destination after a long-distance drive from Devon, the team discovered that the main lift in the five-storey apartment complex in Portishead was completely out of order. With a full household of furniture and boxed belongings to unload, waiting days for lift maintenance was not an option for our customer, who needed to settle into their new home without delay.

Our Approach

Rather than postponing the move, Phil, Leon, and Tania immediately adapted their plan of action. Tania managed the administrative details, organized smaller boxes, and ensured clear coordination at ground level. Meanwhile, Phil and Leon took on the heavy physical task of manually carrying every single piece of furniture, mattress, and container up five flights of stairs over a continuous five-hour effort.

The Result

Through steady teamwork and total dedication, the entire contents of the home were safely placed inside the fifth-floor apartment on schedule. The property was left clean and tidy, allowing our customer to relax in their new home with complete peace of mind despite the unexpected challenge.
