Bereavement House Clearance

For many people one of the hardest things they have to do is sell the family home after the parents/relatives have passed away or gone into care. This can be a very sensitive time and the stress of having to put your property on to the market alongside the the grief of losing a loved one can be very difficult.

Afordable Services doing a House Clearance which can be a difficult time

I know that If I were to walk into an empty family home with bits of rubble and litter on the floor from the dismantle of furniture, it would look like the clearance company did just that; Clear everything and leave. This is why we treat all full house clearances with the upmost respect and ensure they are not just cleared, but vacuumed throughout, to reduce the shock of loss.

House Clearances still need care and attention to detail

We had the privilege of working for a lovey couple who had lost their mother. The house was to go up for sale and everything had to be cleared out of the house. It's heartbreaking to see, but unfortunately something that has to be dealt with.

Over two days the house was emptied and vacuumed throughout the the garage swept out.

Water turned off and a quick check to ensure that the house left so that when the customer walks into which was once their home, feels that its visually acceptable to hand over to the estate agent. Depending on the condition of your home you may require a cleaner to clean the house thoroughly so it's fresh for a new tenant. Unfortunately in this case, it's a new project for the buyer.

Afordable Services loaded ready to Auction and the commercial recycle centre

What could be auctioned off went to MST Auctions in Dunkeswell and everything else had to be disposed of at a registered waste site.

If you have any concerns how to go about clearing a home of a loved one and unsure how to go about it, please do not hesitate to give us a call to discuss how we can help.
